Willie Helps Put The Jazz Into Rangers Ball

The Charity Auctioneers led the bidding at the recent Rangers Charity Foundation annual ball raising an amazing £100,000 at the Hilton in Glasgow.

Over 600 people packed out the hotel ballroom for an evening of ‘Puttin’ on the Ritz’.

The jazz themed event proved to one of the most popular yet led by current management team Mark Warburton and David Weir, the first team squad and Foundation Patron Walter Smith.

All profits from the Ball will support the Foundation’s work in the community and projects with this season’s charity partners Alzheimer Scotland, Glasgow City Mission’s Winter Night Shelter, Unicef, Yorkhill Children’s Charity and four services-related charities.

The Charity Auctioneers pulled out all the stops to maximise the amount of money being bid on the night.

“The Rangers event is one the highlights of the year for me and I was delighted to be asked back again to lead the bidding for the sixth year running,”

said lead auctioneer Willie Paterson.

So many good causes benefit from this event it’s a real pleasure to get involved again.

Connal Cochrane, Manager of the Foundation, commented, “I’d like to thank everyone who came long and made the event such a special evening. There’s such a strong charitable spirit at Rangers and the money raised will help us to continue to make a massive difference to the lives of thousands of people via our work in the community and with our partners.

“It was a fantastic event this year with a really special atmosphere, and our busiest Ball ever, which is great. We are delighted with the support we have received from the Club, sponsors, supporters and everyone who has generously donated prizes and support.”

“And as always managed brilliantly by our auctioneer Willie Paterson.”
