Rangers Charity Foundation Charity Ball 2019

The Rangers Charity Foundation’s annual Charity Ball raised an amazing £91,000 at the Hilton Glasgow on Saturday night.

Guests, including the Rangers first team squad and management staff, enjoyed a fantastic evening of dinner and entertainment in the Ballroom of the hotel, which was decadently decorated to fit this year’s Masquerade theme.

Hosted by TV sports presenter Emma Dodds, those in attendance were treated to exquisite performances from musicians of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and sets from popular band Circus and DJ Campbell McLelland.

The Grand Auction and Game for a Gamble segments were expertly overseen by auctioneer Willie Paterson, with the raffle drawn by Rangers Interim Manager Graeme Murty and Club Captain Lee Wallace.

All profits from the evening are used to support the Foundation’s growing work in the community and with our charity partners.

The Foundation has over 25 community programmes and for Season 2017/18 its charity partners are Unicef, Scottish Autism, Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity, Simon Community Scotland, Glasgow City Mission, Erskine, The Coming Home Centre in Govan and AA Veterans Support in Northern Ireland.

Connal Cochrane, Rangers Charity Foundation Director, said: “I would like to thank everyone who attended and made the night such a success.

“We are absolutely delighted that £91,000 was raised on the night and that a wonderful evening celebrating the impact of the Rangers Charity Foundation was had by all. The funds raised will really strengthen our ability to make a positive difference to thousands of people young and old, across Glasgow and far beyond.

“The support shown by the Club, sponsors, supporters and everyone who generously donated prizes and their expertise is truly appreciated. It was a really special evening and we are already looking forward to next year.”

Willie Paterson hosted the prestigious Game for a Gamble where 10 lucky bidders paid an amazing  £ 2500 for a lucky prize draw , where someone won a holiday to Las Vegas. In the Live Auction, Willie sold a prize where the winning bidder would spend a night in the Blue Room, celebrating Burns Night at Ibrox Stadium, Glasgow with top goalscorer and footballer Kenny Miller, this was knocked down at £ 20,000. This was due to the enthusiasm and quickness  of the UK’S Charity Fundraising Host Willie Paterson…….
